Obituary of Nicole Ann Thorpe

Service information will be posted next week please check back A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Nicole Ann Thorpe, Nikki, passed away suddenly on January 2, 2024, in her home in Kennewick, Washington. Nikki was born in Othello, Washington on July 6, 1972, she was the oldest of four children to Harry and Patty Davey. Nikki had two brothers, Chris, and Kelly and with a bit of an age gap she finally got a little sister, Toni. That was not only a little sister to care for but became inseparable friends. Nikki’s parents owned Davey’s Dugout, then Davey’s Steak House where Nikki started working as a waitress. Nikki graduated high school from Othello in 1990. She dated her high school sweetheart Chris Faix and they were married in 1996. Nikki could not wait to be a mother, and in 1998, Austin Charles Faix was born, followed by Jarrett Christopher Faix in 2005. Chris and Nikki divorced in 2008. Nikki met Michael Lee Thorpe (Lee) and it was like a match made in heaven. The two were like two “16 year olds”, new love. They married on September 27, 2009. Lee and Nikki made their temporary home in Alaska and Tennessee while each of them went to school to continue their education. Nikki had a Doctor of Nursing, Certified Emergency Nurse, Wound Care Certificate and Geriatrics certificate. Nikki worked in many different medical and care facilities: Columbia Basin Health Association, Othello Community Hospital, and many different geriatric facilities, as this was her passion to help with the elderly and her seconded was the adrenaline rush from the Emergency Room. Nikki’s favorite all time job was that of being a mother. That is her proudest accomplishment. She loved all her children. In 2016 Lee & Nikki made their home in the Tri Cities. There they had planted roots to be close to family and had a place to call home. Nikki and Lee enjoyed spending time with family, reading, traveling and Nikki’s favorite was anywhere near the beach!! She loved the ocean. Nikki is now enjoying a sweet reunion with her father, Harry Davey, her daughter -in- law Mariah Faix; her grandparents: Ralph and Evelyn Hallquist and Harry Sr and Winnie Davey. She is survived by her Husband Michael Lee Thorpe Kennewick, WA, Mother, Patty Davey (Hans), Leavenworth, WA,; step-mother, Kathi Davey; children Austin (Kendall) Kennewick, WA and Jarrett Faix Othello, WA step-children; Kedric, Madalyn & Logan Thorpe Grandchildren; Nash & Palmer Weisz, Orion Thorpe; siblings Chris (Danielle) Davey Othello, WA, Kelly (Sammi) Davey Othello, WA and Toni (Michael) Turner Mill Creek, WA ; nephews: Jacob Hendricks, Winston & Cole Davey, her closest friend Tiffany Cutforth, Othello, WA, Fur babies: Tizzy, June Bug, and Bean and countless other friends and loved ones.
