Darryl R. Jensen, a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother took his final steps in his adventures here on earth, Tuesday, July 25th, 2023. He has been reunited with his parents Lyman Cleon Jensen and Aileen Durfee Jensen, his sister Lylis Jensen Blair and two of his sons Daren Ray Jensen and Dusty Rawlins Jensen. We all look forward to the day when we can be reunited for eternity. Darryl was the youngest of six, born on December 20th, 1946, in Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho. He grew up with his siblings working on the farm about 5 miles west of Burley Idaho. In 1955 the family moved to the Columbia Basin in Washington State to hopefully produce a better yield on their crops. They ended up choosing Othello Washington. Darryl enjoyed playing Football, Baseball and Wrestling while attending school. After graduating High School Darryl served a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in Texas (1966-1968). While serving his mission he met the love of his life. They were married when he returned home on June 5th, 1968. Darryl took on any job that would help put food on the table from Custodial to Farming and finally ended up working for the Water District in Mattawa Washington, as a Water Cowboy. Darryl retired and lived a joyful life in Mattawa surrounded by family and friends for 47 years. Throughout his life Darryl enjoyed hobbies such as woodworking, remote control planes and working outdoors. He was loved by all who met him, especially his grandkids, who he cherished. Darryl leaves behind his wife, Donnie Jensen, his children Dena (Cliffton) Casch, Digger (Robin) Jensen, DeWayne (Mary) Jensen, Dallas (Ann) Jensen, his 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
