Susan Charlotte Anderson, 65, of Mattawa, Washington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on December 31, 2022.Sue was born in Seattle, Washington, to Harry and Charlotte Widener on July 8, 1957. She attended Nathan Hale High School and graduated in 1975. In 1988, Sue moved to the Mattawa area where she found her calling by volunteering with the local fire department as an EMT. In 1998, she married the love of her life, Doug Anderson. The two of them enjoyed traveling and Sue was always up for an adventure. Together, Sue and Doug went scuba diving, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, camping, and traveling in their motorhome. They enjoyed traveling abroad and went to Europe, Canada, and Mexico. Italy held a special place in her heart and was among Sue’s favorite places to visit. Sue loved spending time with her family. One of her greatest joys in life was her many grandchildren and she often boasted about being Grandma to 31 grandbabies, all of which she loved dearly and were special to her. She always tried to keep the family close and enjoyed having regular family dinners and celebrations. Sue leaves behind her loving husband, Douglas Anderson, Mattawa, WA; daughter, Adelina (Leonardo) Gallardo, Vernal, UT; daughter, Teresa Perez, Mattawa, WA; son Matthew (Marie) Jamison, Quincy, WA; son Kyle (Megan) Jamison, Mattawa, WA; stepson, Kagen (Kelsie) Anderson, Saratoga, WY; and 31 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Glen (Jan) Widener, Wenatchee, WA; sister, Gayle Widener, Cashmere, WA; brother, Chris (Denise) Widener, Chattanooga, TN; and stepfather, Keith (Joan) Trantow, Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents.A memorial service will be held on June 17, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church of Othello at 1:30 PM.
