child of eight children; she had two brothers and 5 sisters. She was raised on a farm and
attended school in Morland, Ks. She married the love of her life Otto Keith, January 27, 1946.
They farmed the homestead in Penokee, Ks until moving to the Columbia basin during the
Columbia Basin irrigation project in the Royal City area in 1958. They raised their five children
on the farm until Otto’s passing October 16, 1963, when she was left to raise their children on

worked two jobs for many years at agricultural processing plants and cooking/waitressing in
local establishments. In 1989 she lost her home to a fire caused by a faulty hot water heater,
and she started over at the age of 61 years old. She never complained no matter how tough
times were in her life. She finally retired in 1998 and moved to Moses Lake to be closer to her
children. She loved being surrounded by her family; they were the joy of her life. She loved to
garden, cook, preserve food, embroider, sewing, dancing and socializing, she never met a
stranger. Often you would see her at local fairs watching her grandchildren showing livestock
and at soccer fields cheering them on. Later in life she enjoyed her game shows, word find
books, puzzles and being with her family. She leaves behind her children 4 sons Charlie (Keva),
