Obituary of Dora E Martinez
Dora E Martinez, born August 26, 1963 to Jesus and Celia Segura, went home to be with the Lord January 27, 2021.
She is survived by daughters Diana (Fabian) Flores, Devina (Laddi) Singh and Leonela (Alex) Martinez, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Nothing was more important to her than the Lord, followed closely by her family. She was always there when we needed her.
She dedicated her life to service of others, she was a beloved caregiver to many, many people. She loved each of her clients like family and the feeling was always mutual. She was there with many clients as they went home to be with the Lord. "I wouldn't quit my job even if I won the lottery" she would say. She truly loved her job.
When not working Dora was an important member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Othello, Washington. She was also very active in both local English and Spanish speaking Alcoholics Anonymous group. Her sobriety was one of her many, many accomplishments.
She was very blessed and always wanted to bless those less fortunate. She took Thanksgiving leftovers to local homeless camps, gave warm meals and showers to strangers and that most of us wouldn't offer a ride or conversation. "It's not our place to judge" she would say.
Knowing Dora E. Martinez was the biggest blessing she gave to her family and her community.
