Obituary of Dawn Michelle Wilkins

Dawn Michelle Wilkins passed away unexpectedly late January 7, 2021at Kadlec Hospital with her mother and brother by her side. Dawn was born in Othello, Wa to David Carpenter and Rhonda Wilkins. She immediately brought so much joy to her family as the first grandchild to Ben and Gail Carpenter as well as Shirley Metcalf and Richard Metcalf. Dawn’s family grew when she became a big sister to Dani, met her father Jerry Wilkins, and became a big sister once again to JJ. Her love for reading, current events, and music were a part of her from an early age. Dawn counted family as one of her greatest blessings, especially her nephew Mason Cleverly, whom she parented. JayDan Hale, Cedar Wilkins, and Sutter Wilkins will always know how deeply she loved her niece and nephews. Dawn loved all her people fiercely including her friends and coworkers. She worked for AJ Ochoa at Terra Gold farms for the last 20 years and they all consider themselves family. She enjoyed laughing, solving mysteries, and traveling. Dawn was loyal, generous, and kind. Dawn was called to Heaven too soon and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Rhonda Wilkins, her sister Dani Wilkins, her brother and his wife JJ and Nicki Wilkins, her nephews Mason Cleverly, Cedar Wilkins & Sutter Wilkins, her niece JayDan Hale, her grandmother Shirley Metcalf, her large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved dog Titan. Dawn would want everyone to follow COVID guidelines, so we will refrain from gathering until we can do so safely. A tribute video will be shared January 14, 2021. We plan to celebrate her life on her birthday, “Dawn Day” September 18, 2021.
