Obituary of Douglas Edward Jordan
Douglas “Doug” E. Jordan, 57, a life time resident of Othello, Washington, passed away January 13th, 2017. He was born in Othello, Washington on October 21st, 1959 . Doug graduated from Othello High School in 1978. He was one of eight children of Roy and Betty Bubolt Jordan. He married the love of his life, Gail Vogtli in 1980 at Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Doug worked with his dad and brothers in his father’s masonry business, Pegram Construction and GNJ Construction. In 1990 he went to work for the City of Othello in the maintenance department and was a dedicated worker for more than 26 years. He had a passion for fishing, pheasant and goose hunting, and enjoyed traveling to many places including Alaska, Hawaii and Australia. In his younger years, Doug enjoyed and excelled in sports, including softball, bowling and volleyball, and still continued to have unbeatable aim and skills in games like horseshoes and darts. He was known as a genuine, easy going and fun man who could light up a room.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Jordan of Othello, Washington, his sons, David (Cassie Cole) Jordan of Moses Lake, Washington and Derek (Janine Ryan) Jordan of Coffs Harbour, Australia, one grandchild, Ryan Douglas Jordan, his mother, Betty Jordan, Othello, Washington, his siblings, Dave (Laura) Jordan of Othello, Washington, Leola (Dan) Oswalt of Hayden, Idaho, Dennis (Phen) Jordan of Pasco, Washington, Tamra (Dan) O’Neal of Othello, Washington, Margarete (Dale) Mann of Othello, Washington, Donald (Kim) Jordan of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Daniel (Colleen) Jordan of Othello, Washington, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
