Obituary of Ruth Irene Bloomberg

Ruth Irene Bloomberg was born in Everett, Massachusetts on October 25, 1920 to Theodore and Dora Grover. She went to be with the Lord on the night of January 25, 2016 with family by her side. Ruth, along with her sister, Shirley, grew up in Massachusetts and Illinois with a father that always provided for the family and a mother that was a multi-talented home maker with a heart full of love. She married Paul E. Bloomberg on April 30, 1940 and dedicated her life to her husband and family of 4 children. She and her husband lived in Southern California before moving to the Tri-Cities area. Ruth also helped her daughter and son-in-law during harvest on Sunrise Farms making meals for the hired hands, running the scale house and caring for grandchildren. She enjoyed meeting people and developing friendships. Being 95 did not slow Ruth down. She loved playing Bingo and going to exercise class. She often took the Dial a Ride for a manicure and pedicure or to go visit friends. Ruth lived her Christian values every day. Her faith gave her peace, strength and a forgiving spirit. Despite suffering the life altering losses of her youngest son, Mark and six months later, her husband, her faith never waned. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Smith and her sons, Paul and Jon Bloomberg. Ruth was the Matriarch of five generations that included grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
