Obituary of Velia De Los Santos Martinez

Velia De Los Santos Martinez, age 89, of Othello, passed away Thursday evening November 12, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on September 10, 1926 to Leopoldo De Los Santos and Ma Guadalupe Morales. She married the love of her life Modesto Martinez Gonzalez in February of 1953 in San Benito, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Velia was a former pastor. She was a member of Iglesia Bethel A/D de Mexico. She had a passion for Preaching and being a leader. She was a strong willed and outgoing woman who will be deeply missed. She survived by: her Son Modesto Martinez II, (Ma. Guadalupe Martinez), her grandchildren; Magdiel (Aime) Martinez, Velia Madaí Martinez+, Marlene Alicia (Daniel) Gonzalez, Misael (Johanna) Martinez, Velia Merary (Mike) Gomez, her brother, Enrique Rodriguez and 13 Great grandchildren. She’s preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Modesto Martinez G., her brother Guadalupe De Los Santos and her sister; Aurora De Los Santos De Rubio A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2015 at the Iglesia Bethel Assembly of God, in Othello on Bench rd. A Funeral Service will be held be held the following day at 10:00 am Wednesday November 19, 2015 at the Iglesia Bethel Assembly of God, following interment at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens in Othello.
