Obituary of Ramona Ocampo
Ramona R. Quintero, 79, of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away September 23, 2015 at Providence Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane Washington. She was born in McAllen Texas on November 17, 1935 to Procopio and Manuela Quintero.
Ramona grew up in Texas with her parents and two sisters, Maria and Guadalupe. She married Merced and together they had 12 children. In 1976 she moved to Washington to be alongside her sister Guadalupe She was home maker as well as a stay at home mom. She had a passion for her grandchildren, whom she loved very much, playing Bingo, making her homemade authentic Mexican meals as well as her famous Tamales. She was known by all as a strong woman and the rock of the family, always bringing her family together and entertaining them. Ramona was the type of person who always put others before herself. She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother and sister she will deeply be missed.
She was survived by her children; †Ferman (Gudelia) Quintero of Lodi California, Facundo (Rebecca) Quintero of Pasco Washington, †Thomas (Linda) of Laredo Texas, Guillermo (†Fransica) Rodriguez of Laredo Texas, Valentine (Cuca) Rodriguez of Laredo Texas, Manuela Rodriguez of Moses Lake Washington, Alejandro Rodriguez of Moses Lake Washington, Andrea (†Eleazar) Ramos of Moses Lake Washington, Abraham (Maria) Rodriguez of Moses Lake Washington, Maria Elena (Rodolfo) Ramirez, Merced Jr. Rodriguez of Moses Lake Washington, and Juanita (Jose Angel) Olivarez of Othello Washington, her sisters; Maria (†Sylvestre) Vargas of Edinberg, Texas, and Guadalupe (†Luis) Lopez of Othello Washington, and numerous Grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Merced, her sons; Ferman and Thomas Quintero.
A viewing was held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 2, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens.
